I’ve been to D.C. twice in my life, but never made it to the Jefferson Memorial. Happy I got to visit Jefferson this time around, after the Fulbright Global Education Symposium. His memorial has become my favorite. I love the shapes, which recall the Roman Pantheon (also one of my favorite buildings), especially the dome when viewed form the interior. Jefferson stands tall and proud. I never knew Jefferson played the violin, and some cello, and plan someday to dig deeper into his and his family’s musical pursuits.
